Rick Stein at Bannisters
Acknowledged as the best seafood dining room on the south coast. Recently awarded Best New Restaurant for the region at the Restaurant and Catering Awards and Best Restaurant at the Regional Tourism Awards, its menu and understated elegance is complemented by a spectacular location. Sitting high on a headland, the dining room enjoys panoramic views out to sea and as far as Point Perpendicular. The menu is imaginative and meals fastidiously prepared by a team of chefs led by head chef Julian Lloyd, who has worked with Rick for the past 12 years and understands his way with fish. Seafood is sourced ‘fresh-off-the-boat’ by local providore Lucky at Lucky’s Seafood.
The restaurant is fully licensed, with one of the finest wine cellars in the area. In-house Sommelier Toby Evans (son of the late Len Evans) is well-versed in local wines, and has constructed a substantial wine cellar to complement the Rick Stein fare.
For more casual dining, try Bannisters Pool and Pizza Bar – open to visitors at night. Positioned around a wet edge infinity pool, it offers an array of truly inspirational cocktails and an imaginative pizza bar menu.
